DNA testing is often used to determine paternity in connection with child custody cases. When there is a question concerning the father of the child, paternity testing is the answer. Using a non-invasive buccal swab, the cheek cells are scraped and sent to the lab for testing. The test may include mother, father, and child or just father and child. The confidential results are back in approx. 3-5 business days.

DNA/Forensic Testing (on an object)

​

A DNA/Forensics analysis is performed on an object in order to identify the DNA make-up. Typical items used for testing are: garments, toothbrushes, cigarette butts, drinking glasses, and hairbrushes. The DNA extracted from the object is then tested against the buccal swabs of the individual for comparison.
