Kelly Dobbins Joins DATIA Board of Directors

The Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) is pleased to announce the election of its 2018 Board of Directors: Neha Badheka, Kelly Dobbins, Angela Moore, Chandra Spring-DeWald, and Anthony Washington. Board members took office during DATIA’s 2018 Annual conference in New Orleans with over 850 participants in attendance.

Neha Badheka, M.D., is the Director of Medical Affairs for Vertical Screen, Inc. Neha is a certified U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examiner, board certified Internist, and certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). She has in-depth knowledge of the CDL certification process, as well as workplace drug and alcohol testing. She currently serves as a member of DATIA’s editorial review committee.

Kelly Dobbins is the President of Mid-South Drug Testing, Inc. Kelly has more than 25 years of experience in drug and alcohol testing, with the past 14 years as the owner of Mid-South Drug Testing with locations in both Tennessee and Arkansas. Before serving on DATIA’s Board of Directors, Kelly served on DATIA’s conference and education committees.

Angela Moore is the Vice President of Workplace Solutions for eScreen. For most of her 25-year drug and alcohol testing career, Angela served as the Chief Operating Officer for eScreen and has been involved in developing commercial strategy and operational excellence in workplace drug, health, and wellness screening. Angela is a frequent author for DATIA focus magazine and past DATIA conference presenter, and will serve a three year term on the DATIA Board.

Chandra Spring-DeWald is currently employed in the Employer Outreach division of UPMC Susquehanna.Starting her drug and alcohol testing career as a collector more than 15 years ago, Chandra is now an occupational health professional. She strives to help her clients understand all aspects of occupational medicine.

Anthony Washington is the Drug and Alcohol Testing Supervisor for Leon County, Florida, and brings more than 20 years of drug and alcohol testing experience to the table. Anthony started his career in the U.S. Navy where he coordinated and administered drug tests. Upon leaving the Navy, Anthony continued working as a collector in his role as a military recruiter and corrections officer. Prior to joining DATIA’s Board of Directors, Anthony served as a member of DATIA’s editorial review committee.

These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their fields and will be tremendous assets to our organization as we further our mission to provide education, resources, and advocacy to those involved in the drug and alcohol testing industry.”

The DATIA Board of Directors is responsible for assisting DATIA in shaping and carrying out the association’s agenda and strategic plan. Input from Board members is relied upon throughout the year for guidance on regulations and legislation and how they will affect the drug and alcohol testing industry. DATIA board members also serve as ambassadors of the association throughout their term.

This year, the Board has identified several objectives for its 2018 agenda. Areas of specific interest for the Board include plans to:

  • Develop data and resources to better enable DATIA’s members to promote the benefits of drug free workplaces and drug and alcohol testing;

  • Work with industry experts to establish national standards for a level of impairment associated with marijuana testing;

  • Expand educational opportunities that foster growth for member businesses;

  • Redesign the DATIA website to ensure its usefulness for members and the public; and

  • Support legislative and regulatory issues impacting safe and drug free workplaces, including but not limited to supporting efforts that reduce opioid use and abuse.
